About 2,000 families across Machakos County will benefit from clean cookstoves that the County Government launched in collaboration with the State Department of Energy.
The project will not only transform the beneficiaries’ cooking experience but will also help in the preservation of forests while at the same time promoting the use of clean energy in households.
Through the program, many women will be rescued from respiratory disease infections associated with wood smoke.
The launch, led by Deputy Governor, Francis Mwangangi, representing H.E., Wavinya Ndeti attracted hundreds of residents and dozens of senior officials of the County Government.
