Her Excellency Governor Wavinya Ndeti marked International Women’s Day in Embu County in the company of her fellow G7 leaders and a multitude of citizens. Also present was the President of the Republic of Kenya, President William Ruto and his Deputy, Rigathi Gachagua.
This grand event comes just a day after the launch of the Women Governors Caucus G7 strategy launch which took place yesterday at the Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi. The women leaders aim to increase the number of female Governors from 7 to 16 come 2027.
The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day, ‘Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress,’ could not be more timely, coming right after the Women Governors Caucus has taken off
