H.E. Governor Wavinya Ndeti received the Ad Hoc Committee reports on the conferment of municipal status to Masii–Mwala, Kathiani–Mitaboni, Kithyoko–Kivaa–Masinga–Ekalakala, and Matuu–Yatta.
Following Cabinet review, the reports will be forwarded to the County Assembly for further consideration. The Governor also witnessed the signing of performance contracts by chairpersons and managers of the municipal boards, a key step in strengthening accountability and improving service delivery.
Governor Wavinya Ndeti commended the Ad Hoc Committee and the Department of Lands, Housing, and Urban Development for their dedication and exemplary work in advancing sustainable urban development across Machakos County.
