Following the launch of the seed distribution programme by H.E. Governor Wavinya Ndeti in Kathaana, farmers in Katuaa and Muumandu areas of Kola/Muumandu Ward have now received their seeds, with the exercise continuing across all 40 wards of Machakos County.
The ongoing distribution is aimed at ensuring that farmers are well prepared for the planting season and can fully benefit from the current rains to improve agricultural productivity and yields later in the year.
Governor Wavinya Ndeti has urged farmers to take full advantage of the rainy season and plant promptly to maximize harvests and enhance household food security.
This initiative reaffirms the County Government’s commitment to the “Chakula Mezani, Pesa Mfukoni” agenda, focused on strengthening food security, boosting agricultural output, and improving the livelihoods of farmers across Machakos County.
