The Public Health Department embarked on an awareness campaign for eateries, bars and butcheries in Ndithini market, Masinga Sub-County on the importance of food handling and how to acquire valid health certificates.
The Chief Officer for Public Health, Simba Simon Mwako, charged the operation that sensitized food handlers to comply with public health regulations and through such compliances, it can prevent outbreaks of typhoid and hepatitis B.
Governor Wavinya Ndeti gave orders to the health department to deal with eateries, butcheries and all in the food handling business to ensure consumer food safety.
