The County Government of Machakos held a consultative investor after-care meeting with the leadership of African Cotton Industries Ltd in Machakos, aimed at strengthening partnerships and improving the investment climate within the county.
The meeting was convened by the CECM for Trade, Industry, Tourism, Innovation, SMEs, Digital Economy, Gender and Social Welfare, Hon. Sharon N. Muasya, and focused on key areas including ease of doing business, regulatory and compliance frameworks, technology and skills transfer, environmental sustainability, and local sourcing opportunities.
The discussions further emphasized the importance of deepening collaboration in areas such as hygiene, health, education, environment, gender, and social welfare programmes, while also expanding opportunities for youth empowerment and employment creation within the county.
The engagement reaffirmed the County Government’s commitment to nurturing existing investors, strengthening public-private partnerships, and positioning Machakos as a competitive and investor-friendly destination for sustainable economic growth.
