H.E. Governor Wavinya Ndeti hosted the Ambassador of Slovakia to Kenya, H.E. Maroš Mitrik, who together with his delegation paid a courtesy call to her office.
The discussions focused on potential areas of collaboration and investment, including opportunities within the Machakos Youth Service (MYS), Vocational Training Centres, and the County Aggregation and Industrial Park (CAIP). The engagement aimed at strengthening partnerships that support skills development, industrial growth, and youth empowerment.
The delegation commended ongoing county programmes in the education and climate change sectors, noting their impact on sustainable development. They also recognized Machakos County as an emerging hub for industrial, manufacturing, and real estate investment, highlighting its growing attractiveness to international partners.
The meeting reaffirmed the County Government’s commitment to building strategic global partnerships that drive economic growth, create jobs, and enhance opportunities for the people of Machakos County.
