H.E. Governor Wavinya Ndeti has assured Mavoko residents that the Kinacar-Zebra-Airways road whose tarmacking is currently underway will be complete within a month.
Addressing local residents while on an inspection tour of the ongoing works, Wavinya said her government had set aside enough budget to ensure quality and value for money.
“I am doing 2.6 kilometers and I have set aside enough cash to ensure the works are completed on schedule,” said the Governor.
Local residents expressed their joy over the new development, saying the road had been in a poor state for many years.
“As residents of Muthwani Ward, we are grateful to the Governor for giving priority to this project because it will help in opening up the neighborhood for business and movement,” said a local resident.
Another resident said the road was impassible during rain seasons. “We have gone through a painful period of the poor state of the road but now we have something to smile about because that problem is now gone for good,” he said.
The Governor announced she will soon be breaking ground for additional road projects across the county as she strives to improve the county’s overall roads infrastructure in order to attract more investment.
