The two-day Surgeons’ Workshop at Machakos County Referral Hospital has successfully concluded, bringing together surgeons, surgical trainees, and medical professionals for hands-on training in laparoscopy, endoscopy, and WALANT procedures using minimally invasive techniques.
The workshop provided participants with practical exposure aimed at strengthening surgical skills, improving patient care, and enhancing the adoption of modern medical procedures within healthcare facilities across the county.
Scrub nurses and biomedical engineers were also equipped with essential knowledge and practical skills in the use, handling, and management of modern medical equipment, further strengthening the overall capacity of healthcare teams.
The initiative reflects ongoing efforts to promote continuous professional development and improve the quality of healthcare services through innovation, training, and collaboration among medical practitioners.
H.E. Governor Wavinya Ndeti, EGH, continues to encourage strategic partnerships and collaboration among healthcare professionals as part of broader efforts to enhance service delivery, build institutional capacity, and improve patient outcomes across Machakos County.
