On National Tree Planting Day, the grounds of the Machakos White House were buzzing with excitement as the government officials, local leaders and community members gathered to plant trees and promote environmental conservation.
The tree planting exercise was led by H.E. Hon.Wavinya Ndeti and Treasury Cabinet Secretary Njuguna Ndungu. It was aimed to raise awareness about the importance of increasing the county’s green cover. Participants planted hundreds of seedlings, including fruit and indigenous trees which will contribute to improving the area’s air quality and biodiversity.
