MACHAKOS: THE INVESTMENT POWERHOUSE AND MANUFACTURING HUB OF LOWER EASTERN KENYA.

Machakos County is on a transformative journey to establish itself as the leading investment destination and the largest manufacturing hub in the Lower Eastern Region. With its strategic location, robust infrastructure, and investor-friendly policies, the county is poised to become the backbone of industrial growth in Kenya.

Today, we engaged with key industry players from the Kenya Manufacturers Association (KAM) based in Athi River, Mavoko Sub-County, to strengthen partnerships and address critical concerns affecting the sector. These discussions reaffirm our commitment to creating an enabling environment that fosters business growth, attracts investors, and generates employment opportunities for our people.

Manufacturing remains a pillar of our economic strength, and my administration is dedicated to expanding the industrial space. By promoting local and international investments, streamlining business operations, and enhancing infrastructure, we aim to uplift the livelihoods of our residents while positioning Machakos as an economic powerhouse.

We recognize the challenges that manufacturers face, including infrastructure gaps, policy hurdles, and the need for a more seamless business environment. My government is committed to addressing these issues progressively, ensuring that Machakos remains a competitive and attractive destination for investors.

Together, we are building a county that is not only a gateway to industrial success but also a beacon of economic empowerment for all.
