Public participation forums and the issuance of County Bursary application forms for the 2025/2026 financial year have officially commenced across Machakos County, with applicants turning up at their respective Ward Administrators’ offices to complete the process.
The exercise is being coordinated by officers from the Department of Education, ECDE, Youth, Vocational and Skills Training in collaboration with Ward Administrators to ensure transparency, fairness, and equitable access to financial support for deserving learners. The bursary programme targets needy students in secondary schools, universities, Vocational Training Centres (VTCs), and other accredited learning institutions.
Through structured public participation, residents have the opportunity to engage in the process, enhancing accountability and ensuring that support reaches the most deserving beneficiaries within each ward.
Under the leadership of H.E. Governor Wavinya Ndeti, the County Government of Machakos remains steadfast in its commitment to expanding access to education and reducing financial barriers that hinder learners from achieving their academic aspirations.
