Machakos County Announces 320 New Job Opportunities in Rollout of E-Voucher Livestock Vaccination Program

The County Government of Machakos, through the Department of Agriculture, Food Security & Cooperative Development, in partnership with the National Agricultural Value Chain Development Project (NAVCDP), has opened applications for 40 Veterinary Surgeons and 280 Veterinary Paraprofessionals to support the rollout of the new e-voucher vaccination model.

As the county continues to strengthen animal health systems, 13 agri-based cooperatives have been selected to spearhead this modern, technology-driven vaccination approach. The initiative marks a major milestone in improving livestock disease control, enhancing productivity, and expanding economic opportunities for professionals in the veterinary field.

The introduction of the e-voucher vaccination model will create 320 new job opportunities, offering skilled youth and experts a platform to contribute directly to Machakos County’s agricultural transformation.

By investing in innovative disease prevention strategies, the County Government aims to protect livestock, boost farmers’ livelihoods, and advance the broader agricultural growth agenda championed by H.E. Governor Wavinya Ndeti.

Machakos is firmly positioning itself as a leader in agricultural modernization—empowering professionals, strengthening cooperatives, and safeguarding food security for all residents.
