Inter-County Benchmarking Exercise Strengthens Roads and Urban Development Collaboration

The County Secretary, Dr. Muya Ndambuki, alongside the CECM for Lands, Urban Planning, Roads and Transport, Hon. Nathaniel Nganga, and the Chief Officer for Roads and Transport, Mike Jace, today welcomed a delegation from the Makueni County Assembly for a two-day benchmarking exercise in Machakos County.

The engagement brings together engineers and technical teams from both counties to facilitate knowledge sharing on operational approaches that enhance efficient and effective service delivery. The exercise also seeks to promote continuous improvement through the adoption of best practices that will inform future planning and strengthen institutional performance in the roads and infrastructure sector.

As part of the visit, the delegation conducted a site inspection of the Kathalani–Kaviani–Nzaikoni Road, a project fully funded by the County Government of Machakos under the leadership of H.E. Governor Wavinya Ndeti. The project stands as a key example of ongoing investments in road infrastructure aimed at improving connectivity and supporting socio-economic development across the county.
