H.E. Governor Wavinya was honoured to grace the launch of women-only Makima Tithers Sacco in a colorful event held in a Machakos hotel.
She was proud that such home-grown investment ideas are coming from women who are determined to defeat poverty and empower their families and communities.
The good news is that the County Government of Machakos will soon operationalize the Wikwatyo Fund-a Table Banking program conceived by her Government aimed at empowering women and youth, and which will see an initial Kes. 2 million per Ward allocated in the current Fiscal Year.
