H.E. Governor Wavinya Ndeti today launched assorted farm inputs worth Kes. 81 Million Shillings aimed at scaling up production levels in different parts of Machakos County.
The initiative is set to benefit close to 10,000 households in Kola, Kalama, Masii, and Ikombe.
“My main goal is to lead a food secure county and also eradicate poverty among our people. I urge all organized farmers groups across Machakos County to take agricultural activities seriously because it is an avenue that we can tap into to create employment for our youth”, said the Governor.
Also present were the County Executive Committee Member for Agriculture, Food Security and Cooperative Development Dr. Joel Nzomo, Chief Officer Agriculture and Food Security Cpt. Andrew Muiya and other County staff.
