The County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Lands, Housing, Urban Development and Roads, Hon. Nathaniel Nganga, today chaired a strategic revenue enhancement meeting focused on strengthening Machakos County’s own-source revenue streams.
Deliberations centered on practical measures to increase revenue collection from key areas, including land approvals, building approvals, advertisements, and land rates, supporting broader efforts to improve service delivery and fund infrastructure development across the county.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Officer for Lands, Mr. Antony Mutunga, alongside directors, planners, surveyors, and valuers. Participants presented actionable proposals aimed at enhancing efficiency, promoting compliance, and upholding transparency within the county’s revenue management systems.
This initiative reflects the County Government’s commitment to financial sustainability, ensuring that resources generated locally are effectively utilized to deliver quality services and drive the socio-economic development of Machakos County.
