The County Secretary, Dr. Muya Ndambuki, officially opened the Lower Cadre Cohort I Training Programme at Mombasa Beach Hotel, aimed at strengthening the skills, efficiency, and professionalism of government staff in the execution of their duties.
The training, facilitated by experts from the Kenya School of Government and the University of Nairobi, covered key areas including the structure, functions, and operations of county government, project cycles, financial management, performance contracting, and setting of deliverable targets.
The programme is designed to enhance institutional efficiency and improve service delivery by equipping lower cadre staff with practical knowledge and competencies necessary for effective public service.
The event was attended by CECM for Devolution, Hon. Annastacia Munyaka; Chief Officer for County Administration and Decentralized Units, Madam Mercy Ndululu; Chief Officer for Public Service and Performance Management, Mr. Tobias Mutua; and Chief Officer for Gender and Social Welfare, Madam Bendeta Wavinya, alongside directors, sub-county administrators, representatives from the Governor’s Delivery Unit, and ward administrators.
The initiative underscores the County Government’s commitment to continuous staff development and strengthening of service delivery systems across all levels of administration.
