The County Government of Machakos has taken a significant step forward in strengthening healthcare delivery with the arrival of advanced radiology equipment under the National Equipment Service Program (NESP).
A state-of-the-art Philips 128-slice CT scanner has been installed at Machakos County Referral Hospital, marking a major boost to the county’s diagnostic and imaging capacity.
The advanced system, which includes a detector system, X-ray tube, gantry, and patient table, will enable faster and more accurate imaging, deliver high-resolution scans for improved disease detection, and reduce radiation exposure, enhancing overall patient safety.
This milestone is expected to significantly improve early diagnosis and treatment, leading to better patient outcomes across the county and beyond.
It aligns with the vision of H.E. Governor Wavinya Ndeti, who continues to champion the modernization of healthcare infrastructure and the expansion of access to quality medical services for all residents of Machakos County.
