Over 156 young mothers from Machakos University benefited from a food donation and support initiative aimed at empowering student mothers as they navigate the challenges of early parenthood while pursuing their education.
The programme, dubbed “Empowering Young Mothers,” is designed to support young women in universities and colleges by easing social and economic pressures, enabling them to remain focused on their studies, personal growth, and future aspirations.
The initiative provided much-needed assistance while also highlighting the importance of creating supportive environments that allow young mothers to continue their education without being left behind.
The programme reflects H.E. Hon. Wavinya Ndeti’s commitment to inclusive empowerment and social support initiatives that uplift vulnerable groups, particularly young women striving to build a better future for themselves and their children.
