Machakos Municipality, in collaboration with Uwezo College, today spearheaded a successful town clean-up exercise aimed at improving sanitation and restoring the town’s cleanliness.
Municipal officers and college students took a hands-on role in unclogging and clearing drainage systems—a key intervention for environmental hygiene, flood prevention, and public health.
Present during the activity were Municipal Manager Mr. Judah Mumo and the Director of Uwezo College, who both emphasized the importance of community engagement and sustained partnerships in building a cleaner, greener Machakos. This initiative underscores the county’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and civic responsibility.
