Machakos County has been ranked sixth among the top-performing counties by the Vision 2030 Delivery Secretariat following a comprehensive review of county performance in the automation of citizen service delivery and employment creation initiatives.
The assessment evaluated digital transformation efforts and job creation strategies across counties, with the aim of identifying best practices and scalable models that accelerate employment generation while enhancing efficient, transparent, and accessible public services.
This recognition affirms the county’s strong commitment to leveraging technology to improve service delivery, empower youth, and create sustainable economic opportunities. Through strategic investments in innovation and forward-looking systems, Machakos continues to position itself as a model of progressive governance and inclusive development.
During the event, H.E. Governor Wavinya Ndeti was represented by Consolata Mutisya (CECM for Education) and Justus Kasivu (CECM for Health), highlighting the county’s whole-of-government approach to digital transformation, service efficiency, and socio-economic growth.
