The Department of Lands, Housing, Urban Development, and Energy, headed by Hon. Nathaniel Nganga, conducted public participation forums across various sub-counties in Machakos County to gather input on the Machakos County 2024 Draft Land Valuation Roll.
This Valuation Roll is being prepared in accordance with the provisions of the Valuation for Rating Act, Cap 266 [Rev. 2015], and the Machakos County Rating Act, 2014. These engagements aimed to ensure transparency, fairness, and inclusivity in the valuation process.
Present at the meetings were the Director for Citizen Engagement, the Director for Devolution, stakeholders, planners, valuers, and staff from the department.
