Today I have led from the front and had my first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. My people of Machakos were asking why I was not being vaccinated. I was waiting for my health workers to be vaccinated first. I am scared of needles. It was painless but I was tense – hence the cringing.
The discovery that viruses can be combatted using vaccines has saved lives. Our children are vaccinated and so are we adults, with critical life saving vaccines such as the Swine Flu vaccine, Hepatitis, Yellow Fever vaccine etc.
I urge all Kenyans to accept to be vaccinated.
