Later, I inspected the ongoing construction of roads at the new Machakos City and was greatly impressed by the progress.
As has been norm, my government has been committed in strengthening the county’s roads infrastructure network in order to promote trade.
The benchmark we are setting in the New Machakos City in terms of general infrastructure will serve as a model for replication in the rest of urban centres across the county.
On that note, we are encouraging both local and foreign investors to make their way into Machakos and tap into the many available opportunities for investment owing to the investor-friendly climate my government has established.
We look forward to a speedy growth of the New Machakos City as we progress towards the end of the first quarter of the century.
