H.E. Hon Wavinya Ndeti launched a program at Mlolongo aimed at accelerating the clean-up of Mavoko, Machakos, and Kangundo/Tala municipal centers.
The enhanced clean-up program will be cascaded to all towns and shopping centers across the county. The goal is to transform urban centers into garbage-free areas.
Staff involved in solid waste handling will also be vaccinated against diseases associated with waste handling. Protective gear and other tools will also be issued.
