This afternoon, I commissioned Kimiti Level 4 Hospital in Matungulu Sub County.
This is in continuation of my agenda to provide affordable and quality healthcare closer to the people.
The newly commissioned facility has 18 bed capacity with other services including outpatient services, child health and welfare clinics, ante natal services and family planning services. Other services comprise of maternity in-patient services, laboratory services, physiotherapy services and in-patient services for mildly sick patients.
In the future, we are looking at expanding the services to include Radiology, and dental services, theatre and expansion of laboratory services.
Our medics deserve to be well-housed and we plan to expand the staff quarters and upgrade the facility’s utilities such as electricity and water supply.
Quality healthcare remains the cornerstone of a productive society and I am glad that the people of Machakos have better access to health services under my administration.
